Thank you all for your support and for joining the space force. Well it's been awhile since the last news letter. I have been very busy creating commercial web sites and 3d graphics for clients. I wish I could create SF art all day but my wife expects me to make money once in awhile. Now that things are slowing down I hope to have the time to update the web site, create a few new spaceship illustrations and produce my first Science Fiction Art CD featuring my best Tom Corbett images. Tom Corbett SF Art CD Coming Soon In June I will be selling my new Tom Corbett CD. The CD will contain a dozen of my best SF image files for producing an unlimited number of 5 x 7 color prints on your personal ink jet printer. The jpg image files will be much higher in quality then the files that are now available on the web. Just like a music CD you will have the rights to print out copies of my sf art for your friends and family. However like a music CD you will not be permitted to resell the CD or use the artwork for commercial purposes without the permission of the artist. The Fastest Science Fiction Sound Gallery on the web Check out our new and improved audio streaming SF Sound Gallery and SF Midi Music Gallery. All the files are now compressed for fast web downloading, making Above The Blue Horizon's one of the quickest loading SF Sound Galleries in cyberspace. You may need a plug-in like QuickTime 4 or a Helper program to run some of these sound files. All AIFF samples are compressed using Q-Design Music Encoder Pro for audio streaming on the web. This program can compress a 15 meg audio file down to 500k ! It amazing! The files are so small they load while your listing.One of my favorite shareware sound programs for the Power Macintosh is QuickTime 4 which comes with a lite version of Q-Design's Encoder. To improve your audio experience change your IE Preferences: under View / Preferences / Receiving Files / File Helpers / find aif under Extension / Press Change / Change Handling to Post-Process with Application. Also set all your QuickTime General Preferences to ON. (check mark in each box) Doing this will allow your QuickTime Player to play music while you continue to browse web pages.
