While exploring the edge of the universe in their sleek bullet-shaped interstellar rocketship a team of space men discover a strange silicon crystal lifeform. The Science Officer carefully extends his molecular probe toward the glowing crystal. The Communications Officer backing him up presses his computer keypad and starts to download the data.
